Day Job by Day, Building by Night Poster: Side Hustle Wall Art

What lasts is what you build.

The Epic of Gilgamesh is the oldest great story we have. Gilgamesh, king of Uruk, spends it chasing a way to live forever and fails. On the last page he comes home and tells the ferryman Urshanabi to climb the wall of Uruk, walk along it and study the brickwork. The walls are his answer: you can't live forever, but what you build can outlast you.

This poster draws those walls with their stepped battlements and a gate of light, the sun disk of Shamash above them and the name Gilgamesh in cuneiform, framed in gold on near-black. Made for a desk, a studio or an office wall, as a reminder of what the work is for. It's the story Gilgamesh Enterprise is named after.
